Is there a way to chose new skins for the player you use ?

Sure you can do this by adding the new skin to: /media/com_sermondistributor/jplayer/skin

You can Google for skins for jPlayer since there are many to choose from on-line. Once you have added this new skin, you should update the code on line 245 by replacing the lines to instead load the new skins files.

This may be very tricky and possible break the player.

So this means that at this moment to load new skins can be done, but requires the needed knowledge to hack the code and these hacks will be overwritten by the next update and will need to be done again.

We will work on the option of improving this process in the future. Do keep in mind the whole purpose of the component was never to play audio files but distribute the audio files and this mean download them for keeps. Since this works very well the player is not our main focus.

Having said that I can say that we will continue to improve the component and hope that everyone can find it to be an extremely easy and practical tool that adds excitement to their media distribution part of their websites.

Just out of interest and I am asking out of ignorance is there a way to suggest a main skin to you... also where is a great site to look... on google it does not bring up much ( more tutorials)

I was looking all over internet for skin and honestly they are hard to find apart from about 3 pay versions with horrible pay lisense agreements. I did however find pictures of a few nice one with no links to where I could get them. However I found this one on a site and don't know how to find out the name of the skin or where to get it as this is an official site using jplayer ... Have a look at skin . It is really nice and functional http://www.mixest.com/0wb
