I think this thread is gone yet it is unresolved and it is a long term problem. This component does not work with cache. Most other large extensions that are not compatible with cache have a button where you can turn cache off just for this extension so the rest of a website can carry on with cache on. The whole site cache has to be turned off for this extension to work properly.

I don't remember closing it ? Maybe by mistake :-) but as far as I know it is unresolved.

It seams to have been resolved

Does not seem like a mistake 👎

We will resolve this if it really is an issue and not just your website.

You have forgotten - We spoke on skype allot more then and you basically said that this was a general problem with cache and please wait. I never turned cache on since then so it was never resolved. I might have closed the thread because you said you needed time... on skype and I might have typed the words resolved to give you time - which was a mistake... The rsolution you gave was to turn cache off . Which you said would change one day.

I will leave cache on and see if errors happen. Last time it messed up links as far as I remember, but I will check later and if resolved simply apologize and move on :-)

Read some of these posts:

http://joomla.stackexchange.com/questions/2323/using-caching-for-module-or-component-independently (read all the answers)
https://docs.joomla.org/Cache (just to understand better)

Now Sermon Distributor (SD) does not handle its own cache, it completely depends on Joomla to do it on the grounds of the global settings on Joomla. If you understood the way I have written the component you will see it is heavenly dependent on Joomla's API and in turn this means I don't actually have control over how things work.

According to @C-Lodder adding some field to override this is a core hack.... we don't want to do this. Since it will mean other things will break.

So if there is an error the problem is much bigger then you think, and I am not sure if I have the knowledge to fix it at this time.

About you closing the last issue and saying it is resolved... lol it is no big deal. We continue to seek the Lord for help in all these things :)

Okay This is weird :-) Very weird ... I tested the cache and there is one error that comes :-) If I turn Cache on jplayer does not show but old player... But if I turn cache off jplayer shows... but if in backend I turn it on again ( conservative caching) jplayer dissapears again .... like I can do this again and again :-)

Okay so I have been looking at the cache again and found one thing that is still an issue and this was an issue the last time. When I turn conservative cache on after a short while the pagination on the preachers page stops working and when you click page 2 or even show all etc it just reverts back to page one. This stops the moment I turn off conservative cache. I see this is not a problem on www.loudvoice.org at the moment. Is your conservative cache turned off on that site? I have turned it off on the following page as it is the only way of fixing it... http://www.audiosermon.net/audio-sermons

If I am wrong forgive me. I asked if www.loudvoice.org has cache turned on ( conservative) and as I waited I tested on google and it says your cache is not on. https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.loudvoice.org%2F . Furthermore On www.audiosermon.net as explained in previous post when I turn cache on ( conservative) the pagination does not work below speakers page http://www.audiosermon.net/audio-sermons when I turn cache on. Cache is not on at the moment due to this problem. This is when cache is on and I click on page 2 or 3 etc It just reverts to page one. With Cache off it reverts to corrects page.

Just a quick question to ask if maybe this particular problem has any light in sight. If cache is turned on pagination does still not work as every page simply opens page one ? Miss you brother !
