Morning He arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. Ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. -- Ye who sometime were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. -- Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
