After additional testing, I was able to narrow down the behavior further.

The issue appears to occur specifically when editing permissions within any component view. When the record is saved, the view-level permissions are not being retained and instead revert to the component's global permission settings.

The behavior observed is as follows:

  • If the component's global permission is set to Allowed, saving the view causes the view-level permission to revert back to Allowed.
  • If the component's global permission is set to Not Allowed, saving the view causes the view-level permission to revert back to Not Allowed.
  • If permissions are modified and the user selects Close without saving, the permission changes remain as they were set and do not revert to the global permissions configured at the component level.
  • The problem only manifests after selecting Save or Save & Close, at which point the view-level permission settings are replaced by the inherited global permissions.

Based on these findings, the issue appears to be occurring somewhere in the save process, causing the admin view or the area being saved to fall back to the global permissions set at the component configuration level.

I will continue investigating and provide additional findings as we work to fix this issue.
