Steps to reproduce the issue

  • Install latest (3.1.2) package of JCB
  • Go to Extensions >> Plugins
  • Filter on "comp" to view the Componentbuilder plugins

Expected result

Plugins appear and can be enabled

Actual result

Plugins do not apear

System information (as much as possible)

  • OS Name & Version: WAMP; LAMP
  • MySql Version: 5.7.31, 5.5.5
  • Apache Version: 2.4.46
  • PHP Version: 7.4.9, 7.4.30
  • Joomla Version: 3.10.10
  • JCB Version: 3.1.2
  • Browser: Firefox Dev nightly

Additional comments

The plugins are installed on some but not on others.
When they are not available, they are physically not installed into the plugins folder - not even a folder created for them under the /content plugin folder.

Tested on 5 different dev sites, both on WAMP and on LAMP (Ubuntu w/NGNX on Plesk on Linode).
The LAMP sites never seem to have the plugins even installed.
Some of the WAMP sites have the plugins, others do not.

I've not been able to identify any commonality between the sites that do not have the plugins installed.

Any ideas where to start checking next?

I have never seen this, and can not reproduce this issue. The only option would be to give me access to test this. Please connect with me about this on Telegram directly.

OK. Let me do some more digging before I waste your time with this.
Sure seems like something on the server.

I'll do more testing this week with a few more servers and try to isolate. If I can't I'll connect with you.

BTW ... the main issues are happening on WAMP so really can't give access easily.
